Most people I know call me "Mom". Does that tell you that I spend way too much time with my kids??? In order of birth, they are as follows: Jeff, Michelle, Ashley, Amy, Dylan, Joey, and Noel Luke, and they are the stuff that life is made of. They are both the reason I climb out of bed every morning, and the very same reason I drag myself back into bed early the next morning. The first three children I bore before I married my husband, Carl, of seven years. The others I can blame him for. As many of you may know, our son Joey died from complications of a heart defect when he was two weeks old. My brother Jerald died from a 17 year long brain tumor two weeks later. Approximately six months later, my sister, Beverly, whom I was most close to in this world, passed from breast cancer, and my Dad followed in her footsteps about six months after that.
We also found ourselves homeless most of last year, which is not something I reccomend. So my life has known trajedy. I mention this not because I am seeking pity, because I have no place in my life for pity, but so that I can declare with certain knowledge that trajedy is just a state of mind, it does not have to rule our lives, nor should it. Life is short. Every day brings it shorter. It just irritates me to no end when I see people spending thier lives, their time, thier energy, thier mind, thier talents on things that in the greater existence in this universe we live in will never amount to spit on a sidewalk on a hot summer day.
